About Me

Education and Professional Memberships

I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina. I also hold a Bachelor's of Social Work (BSW) from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

I have completed additional clinical trainings, including the introductory training for Internal Family Systems Therapy, a five day intensive training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and the foundational training for TraumaPlay.

I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Association for Play Therapists (APT).

Outside the Office

I am a firm believer that delight heals us. For me, that means I believe in feeling deeply, lots of color and light, laughter, and chai tea (hot only, even in July). I have a passion for reaching across cultural lines to cultivate deep, soul level relationships that change us for the better. I also love painting and the kinesthetic, creative process, which I love to integrate into the counseling process.
