Art Workshops

Join us to experience healing through art.

Art workshops are one-time, guided, therapeutic art groups that allow you to process your experiences through mixed-media art in a warm and safe environment. You are invited into the process of exploring and expressing feelings alongside other people walking through similar struggles. No previous creative experience is required. All supplies are included to create an 11x14in canvas to take home with you.

What to Expect

As you enter the room, you can expect to be warmly greeted by me (hi, I’m Erin!) and a table full of various art supplies. You will notice acrylic paints, brushes, charcoal pencils, sponges, glitter, glue, magazine clippings, markers, and an 11x14in canvas at each seat.

We will begin our time together with introductions. Engaging your feelings through art can be a vulnerable process. It is my goal for each person to feel safe and comfortably uncomfortable as we settle into the rhythms of the workshop.

Soft music will play in the background, offering each participant moments of stillness and opportunities for reflection as I guide you through starting the creative process. I will continue to check in throughout the 65-70 minutes of creative time, offering reflections, prompts, and any information about how to use the supplies.

Our group will then move into a time of reflection and sharing for the last 30-40 minutes of the workshop. We will discuss the creative process of expressing your feelings through art and you will be invited to share as little or as much about your process and your art piece as feels comfortable for you.
